In the Her Circle Bizruptors Awards 2024 held at Reliance Corporate Park which was awaited, the event was aimed at honoring the successful women entrepreneurs and their achievements in various fields. Launched by Mrs. Nita Mukesh Ambani, Her Circle showcases women who are successful entrepreneurs and leaders who are bringing positive change in the business world across India. The event featured two sets of awards: The first one is for icons who have achieved lot in their field, and the second one for Bizruptors, the new age entrepreneurs to be sourced through a hunt conducted across the country through a combination of public vote and jury.
Army Launches Short Service Commission Technical Courses; 21 Female Cadets Trained so far
The Indian Army has launched the Short Service Commission Technical Course at the Officer Training Academy (OTA) in Gaya, preparing B.Tech students to become army officers. The course, which began on April 1, currently has 190 cadets along with 21 female cadets, with an expected increase to 450 by October. With an aim to prepare both men and women for service, the OTA Gaya has previously offered training under two courses: Technical Entry Scheme and the Special Commission Officer.
64.7% Women cast Votes in 2024 LS Polls; Surpassed Men in 19 of 36 States/UTs
The 2024 Indian Lok Sabha elections saw a 65.8 per cent voter turnout out of the country's 97.6 crore electorates, a 1.6 per cent decrease from the 67.1 per cent recorded votes in the 2019 elections. However, a higher participation rate of women outnumbered men in 19 out of 36 states and Union Territories (UTs), but men had a polling percentage of 65.8 per cent at the national level. The release of turnout data coincided with the Election Commission requesting the release of the 18th Lok Sabha list. This indicates a growing political consciousness and a desire to influence governance and policy decisions.
