India Women's Hockey Team Score 3-1 Win Against NZ
Indian women’s hockey team scored a 3-1 victory against New Zealand on Sunday. With the win in its second Pool B match, the host team is still in the running for an Olympic seat. The match was being played at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
From the Indian side, Sangita Kumari (1’), Udita (12’), and Beauty Dung Dung (14’) scored fantastic goals. From the New Zealand side, Megan Hull (9’) scored the side’s maiden goal.

She interacted with the members of self-help groups (SHGs) and stressed that women's empowerment in the social, economic, political, and spiritual areas is necessary for India to achieve its goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. She also pointed out that women-led development cannot be implemented until they have the freedom to make their own decisions, which has partially been achieved with economic independence. Union Minister says Women-owned Businesses receives More Loans
Women-owned businesses are getting more loans, according to Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani, and the percentage of non-performing assets is less than 2.5 per cent. 280 million women-owned businesses benefited from the 400 million loans that were provided, with women accounting for 70 per cent of the beneficiaries.
Minister Smriti praised New Delhi's government's focus on women-led development, highlighting the PM Awas housing scheme and Ujjwala gas connection for empowering rural women's lives. Since the current ruling party in India took over in 2014, India's gas connections have increased from 14 crores to 32 crores, with the majority of these connections under the Ujjwala scheme.
