Team India have created history by winning the ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup title two years in a row. Playing the final against South Africa, India showcased skill and clinched the trophy after a one-sided match.
South Africa won the toss and opted to bat first. Indian bowling attack had SA struggling from the very beginning of the match. The first wicket as taken by Parunika Sisodia who dismissed opener Simone Lourens for a duck. Jemma Botha lost her wicket next to Shabnam with score being 20/2 in the first four overs. Aayushi Sharma took Diara Ramlakan’s wicket, reducing South Africa to 29/3 by the end of the powerplay.

Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh highlighted the global impact of Indian women-led startups, including India's solar mission Aditya L1, led by Nigar Shaji, known as ISRO's "Sunny Lady." Indian women are excelling even in challenging and male-dominated sectors.
He emphasized the importance of women's development in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's governance agenda. Three Women from Kullu Set to Represent India at Asian Winter Games

In an inspiring achievement, three women from Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, have been chosen to represent India at the 2025 Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China. Tanuja and Sandhya from Palchan, along with Aanchal Thakur from Burua, Solang Valley, have earned the prestigious opportunity to compete in this esteemed event, scheduled to take place from February 7 to February 14.
The three chosen athletes underwent training in Italy, mainly focused on the Slalom Skiing competition, ensuring they were fully prepared for the challenges ahead.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur believes WPL as Stepping Stone toward ODI World Cup

India's captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, has highlighted the significance of the Women's Premier League (WPL) in India's preparations for the ODI World Cup. She believes the WPL will help players refine their skills and improve their fitness before the World Cup transforming the women's cricket landscape.
The TATA WPL 2025, a five-team tournament in India, will take place from next week, February 14 to March 15. It will consist of 20 league matches and two knockout games. Soon after the WPL, the Indian women's team will have three months before the England bilateral series, two months before the Australia ODIs, and the 50-over World Cup in October.
