Female Participation Doubles in Frontline Job Demand
According to the Better Places Frontline Index Report, the demand for frontline jobs in India decreased by 17.5 per cent in FY23, with 6.6 million jobs created as opposed to 8 million in FY22.
Between FY22 and FY23, the percentage of women working in front-line positions increased from 3 per cent to 6 per cent. The report also focuses on salary trends and the shifting nature of the industries that employ front-line workers.

President Murmu emphasizes the Importance of a Judiciary that Values Women
The President of India, Draupadi Murmu mentioned that the increase in representation of women in the legal system would be in the interest of the Judiciary while speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Madhya Pradesh High Court's Annexe Building on Wednesday. President Murmu stated that there are roughly 9 per cent of female judges on the Supreme Court and 14 per cent of female judges on the High Court. She said that since women naturally have a sense of justice, they should be properly represented in the judicial system.
The empowering of women in India is a crucial factor, she continued referring to the recently passed Constitution Bill 2023 in the Parliament which grants one-third reservation to women in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies.
