Tamil Nadu Budget: Rs 1,000 subsidy program for female household heads to begin in September 2023

The ruling DMK announced the commencement of one of its major election-time pledges, saying the program giving Rs 1000 per month support for qualified women who are the head of households will go into effect in September.

The launch of the "game-changer" initiative would occur on September 15, the anniversary of the birth of the late Dravidian stalwart and party founder CN Annadurai. This would be months before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, in which the DMK has set its sights on its led alliance winning all 39 seats in Tamil Nadu and the single Puducherry seat.

Two grants have already been made public by the foundation, including $3 million to the international nonprofit organization named TechnoServe for its efforts shown. They have reached out to 30,000 farmers and 24 Farmer Production Organisations (FPOs) both in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. Around 50% of workers in this organization are women.

Salima Tete, the midfielder of the National Women's Hockey Team is positioned on Thursday as the AHF Athletes Ambassador for a two-year term beginning from March 25.
