Tamil Nadu Promotes Women-Centric Policies by Implementing Gender Budgets Across All Departments
Each department in the Tamil Nadu government will now have a gender budget, officials declared on September 18. The Government Order (GO), which contains the crucial directions, was published by the Department of Social Welfare and Women's Empowerment. The state's minister of social welfare and women's rights, P Geetha Jeevan, had already made a statement to this effect before the state Assembly.
According to sources, gender budgeting comprises considering gender while developing, implementing, and evaluating any policy or programme. All new programmes that are launched in Tamil Nadu must follow the regulations and will be categorised into one of four categories: gender transformative, responsive, neutral, or blind.
Nirmala Sitharaman Urges World Bank Subsidiary IFC to Increase Credit to India
Nirmala Sitharaman, the minister of finance, has instructed the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector investment arm of the World Bank, to boost its financing to India to more than $2 billion over the next two years and to $3-3.5 billion over the following three to four years.
IFC managing director Makhtar Diop, who met with the Minister in the nation's capital, stated that the organisation would take a "proactive approach" to increase the size of its investments in India and would provide financing to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to support the nation's "effort to become a manufacturing hub."
Mr. Diop also stressed the possibilities of "looking at sub-national financing for sustainable growth, and mobilise financing for women entrepreneurs" while providing Ms. Sitharaman with information on the IFC's present lending footprint in India.
Indian Women have Future in Web3.0, based on the Survey
The interest of Indian youth in investigating career options in the Web3.0 market has been revealed by new findings from the global survey report "Journey into Web3," which was released by KuCoin, a global cryptocurrency exchange.

Life Global raises $500,000 in New Jersey for Women's Empowerment and Primary Education in India
A nonprofit organisation in India called Life Global and Life Global USA raised $500,000 at their 5th Anniversary Gala in Edison, New Jersey.
The event was co-hosted by Amar Shah, the founder and treasurer of Life Global, and Parikh Worldwide Media, led by its founder and chairman Dr. Sudhir Parikh, a recipient of the Padma Shri award and chairman of Life Global USA. Participants learned about the partner organisation Project "Life" India's efforts over the previous 25 years in the areas of primary education, women's empowerment, and Thalassaemia awareness at the event.
Approximately 300 supporters, including board members of Life Global/Project "Life," gathered at Mirage Banquet in Edison, New Jersey, to learn more about the organisation. Danfoss Introduces Career Support Programme for Female Students in TN
Danfoss India, a firm focused on energy efficiency and climate solutions, announced that it has started a career support programme for female students attending government-run schools in Tamil Nadu.
According to a business statement, Danfoss India and AVTAR Human Capital Trust are working together on "Project Puthri" to mentor female students at a government higher secondary school in Panruti.
The program's goal is to identify female students and provide them with the training and skills they need to find employment, according to a statement from the company.

The Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, FICCI FLO, and the British High Commission of India have all contributed to the book "She Is - Women in STEAM," which is not only written but also includes videos of all the achievements that can be viewed using a QR code.
