The goal of "women empowerment" is to inspire, assist, and uplift women. It also acknowledges the strides women and girls have made in achieving financial security, gender equality, and self-assurance. We should all embark on the immensely important mission of empowering women. This is done so that the community as a whole and future generations would benefit from empowered women. There are many ways that girls and women can be empowered, and the community as a whole needs to come together to make this happen.

Professor Srivardhini K Jha takes over as chairperson at NSRCEL
Prof. Srivardhini Jha assumes charge as the chairperson of NSRCEL, the startup incubator at IIM Bangalore, earlier this month. Prof. Jha is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at IIM Bangalore. Prior to joining IIMB, she worked as a researcher with the McGill Centre for the Convergence of Health and Economics. She has a Ph.D. in Corporate Strategy and Policy from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, an MS in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, and a B.Tech. in Information Science and Engineering from Bangalore University. Prior to moving into academia, she held several senior managerial positions at Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, and Infosys.
HC Launches campaign of special awareness push on Gender Sensitization and Sexual Violence Prevention
The High Court of J&K and Ladakh Judge and Chairperson of the Sexual Harassment Probe Committee, Justice Sindhu Sharma, launched an aggressive campaign of special awareness on gender sensitization and sexual violence prevention with a focus on sexual harassment of women at work under the slogan "Speak -Prevention Drive against Sexual Predation through Empowerment, Awareness and Knowledge" at Nari Niketan, R. S. Pura Jammu.

IBA Women's World Championships to be held in Delhi starting on March 15
The third time that India has hosted the biannual event in its history, the women's World Boxing Championships will be held here from March 15 to 31 in 2023.
The prestigious competition has already been held in India twice, in 2006 and 2018, both times in the nation's capital, since it began in 2001.
In addition, India hosted the Women's Youth World Championships in Guwahati in 2017. The global championship for men has never, however, been held in India.

Heather Graham becomes the second player in Australia Women's T20I history to score a hat-trick
Medium-pacer Heather Graham became the second female cricketer from Australia to score a hat-trick in 20-over matches. Graham's incredible achievement during the fifth T20I match between Australia and India ladies enabled Australia win by a commanding margin of 54 runs at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. When Graham entered the field to bowl the 13th over, the Indian squad was under pressure. Even though the Women in Blue were already five down, Graham wanted to end the game quickly.
Uber Plans to hire 800 Women in Tech for two New Projects by next year
Uber, a ride-hailing company, plans to hire 800 additional female technologists by the end of the year, at a time when many other tech businesses are laying off workers due to macroeconomic uncertainties.
Specifically, the hiring is for two programmes that Uber launched this year. After taking a career sabbatical, women in IT with positions such as product managers and engineers can reenter the workforce through the uReturn programme. The company also announced Pinnacle, a trial programme that offers flexible and remote working choices in the fields of tech operations, mapping, and machine learning and is geared at returning women. Around 150 women have already joined Uber through these two programmes. It now has intentions to hire 800 more people by the following year.
ISB Students bag 1578 offers from 222 Companies, Accounting for 40% of all Offers made to Women
There were 1,578 job offers issued to Indian School of Business students by recruitment firms, despite the uncertain global economy and the anticipated slowdown (ISB). On December 21, the business school reported that a lot of hiring took place during the recently finished placements for the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) Class of 2023.
According to ISB, up to 73% of those placed were able to change functions, and 79% transferred to a new industry, taking significant steps toward establishing careers of their choosing. The average yearly acceptable CTC (cost to company), which increased by 2.5 times from the pre-ISB average of Rs 13.39 lakh, was Rs 34.21 lakh.
Nai Roshni Scheme Trained Nearly 40,000 Women Throughout India: Smriti Zubin Irani
Smriti Zubin Irani, the minister of minority affairs, stated in a written response to a question in the Lok Sabha today that 175 women from Bihar were among the 40,000 women who received training nationwide over the past three years, from 2019–20 to 2021–2022. In the State of Bihar, trained women have been distributed as follows per community over the previous three years: Muslims -175; Christians 0; Sikhs 0; Buddhists 0; Jains 0; and Non Minority 0.
Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Zoroastrian (Parsi), and Jain women are chosen by the agencies authorised by the Ministry under Section 2(c) of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992.

Arunachal Pradesh, also known as the country of dawn-lit mountains, is the first Indian territory to welcome the morning light. The state is one of the least explored areas in India despite having a wealth of natural flora and fauna.
The department of tourism has announced a digital campaign that follows the journey of four female bikers in an effort to draw in tourists from all around the world. The Honorable Chief Minister, Pema Khandu, flagged off the four-day women's biking excursion on December 14, 2022, in the Pasighat, East Siang district.
