Dr Geeta Rao Gupta confirmed as Global Women's' Issues office envoy by US Senate
Indian-American Dr Geeta Rao Gupta has been confirmed as the Ambassador-at-Large for the Office of Global Women's Issues in the State Department by the US Senate. "Dr Geeta Rao Gupta was confirmed by the US Senate as the Ambassador-at-Large for the Office of Global Women's Issues. The State Department looks forward to her efforts to promote women and girls' rights through US foreign policy," The Secretary's Office of Global Women's Issues tweeted.
National Capital to get Pink Parks Exclusively for Women
250 "Pink Parks" to be situated exclusively for women in India's Capital where no men will be allowed to enter. Aaley Mohammad Iqbal, the deputy Mayor of Delhi mentioned that they have started the process of locating potential sites for women-only "Pink Parks" in each MCD ward.
In addition to this, ensure that the women get numerous services, the goal is to make the city a "more comfortable space" for women. He has even spoken to the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal to establish similar parks in all wards.

Maharashtra Women's Commission wants to Establish Panel to Find Missing Women
Rupali Chakankar, the head of the Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW), has directed the stated home department to form a team that will find out the missing women in the state and report on its progress every fortnight.
Around 3,594 women have been missing between 1 January and 31 March 2023, in which some of the females have been found. The missing women and girls from the state are a matter of concern, Rupali stated on Monday.

Almasa leads India in Powerlifting Championship
In the Asian Equipped Powerlifting Championship which was held in Alappuzha, Kerala, Shaik Sadiya Almasa, a student of KL Deemed to be University set a new Asian Record by clinching three gold and one bronze medal in the tournament.
Sadiya grabbed a record-breaking 190 kg in the Squat, 160kg in the Deadlift, and together 427.5 kg. She also bagged the bronze medal in bench press with a spectacular lift of 77.5 kg. Her achievements have not only brought recognition but also have set new records in the sport.

Monika Malik represents Indian Women's Hockey Team for the 200th time during Australian tour
During the first game of India's tour to Australia, Monika Malik, a midfielder for the Indian women's hockey team, from Chandigarh won her 200th international cap.
The 29 years old, Monika made her international debut against New Zealand in Naples in 2012, and has since been a crucial member of the Indian team. She was a member of the Indian team that took home the bronze medal at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, in 2014.
Smriti Irani takes feedback on Public Welfare Schemes in Udhampur
Smriti Zubin Irani, the Minister of Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs has arrived today at Udhampur on a two-day visit as a part of the Modi Administration's Public Outreach Program.
