Women play a wide range of roles in male-dominated civilizations, and the best part is that they fit the bill perfectly in every role. Platinum Jubilee Pageant Commemorative Album Features Indian Women-led Startup LXME
The Official Platinum Jubilee Pageant Commemorative Album, launched in honour of the Queen of the United Kingdom Elizabeth II, features LXME, India's women-first financial startup. This New album was released on June 5 as part of the United Kingdom's four-day Jubilee celebrations.
The Queen's Official Platinum Jubilee Pageant Commemorative Album chronicles the Queen's 70-year reign as monarch, as well as a select group of remarkable individuals and organisations from around the United Kingdom and Commonwealth. This is the sole official book that has been published, and it is published by St James's House in the United Kingdom. It was written by Robert Jobson and Katie Nicholl, with Tom Parker Bowles contributing.
President Ram Nath Kovind believes that More Women should be Represented in the UP Assembly and Council
President Ram Nath Kovind underlined the importance of increasing women representation in the law-making process, citing the low number of women members in both the Uttar Pradesh Assembly and Legislative Council.
In his address to the UP Assembly and Legislative Council as part of the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Independence, President Ram Nath Kovind recalled how Uttar Pradesh had once made history by having the first woman chief minister in Independent India, Sucheta Kripalani.
Ektaa Kapoor & Roposo Introduce Women's Ethnic Wear Category in Co-created Brand Ek
Ektaa R. Kapoor, an Indian television producer, has teamed up with entertainment commerce platform Roposo to expand their co-created brand EK into the women's ethnic wear arena.
Under the 'EK' brand name, Kapoor already sells a home décor, furnishings, and wellness accessories assortment on Roposo. In November 2021, the brand made its debut.
Roposo and Glance, who have a combined user base of about 200 million, are offering EK's fashion line. EK's direct-to-consumer website, as well as other e-commerce platforms, offer the company's products. Cotton kurtas, bottoms, and dupattas are included in the collection.
ITBP Launches Heli-Borne Operations for Women
Under commando training, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) has introduced heli-borne slithering operations for its female members. The force's Basic Training Centre (BTC) in Bhanu, close here, hosted the first such class today, where they exhibited their newly acquired talent.
Slithering is a strategy that involves slipping down a rope attached to a helicopter hovering several metres above the ground to quickly induct and deploy personnel during operations in isolated places or challenging terrain.
Woman-led Fintech Firm ARTH Bags $2.5 Million Headed by DEG & Others
Woman-led Micro MSME Fintech ARTH has garnered $2.5 million in financing headed by DEG – Deutsche Entwicklungs- und Investitionsgesellschaft / KfW subsidiary, MIT Alumni, and US & Canadian angel investors.
The company statement stated, "This takes the total funding raised by ARTH to $3.5 Million with the initial personal investment made by the founder, friends & family. The fresh round of funding will be used to expand the suite of financial services being offered to ultimately be a single point platform for Micro MSMEs. The funds will also be used for strengthening the technology capabilities and building robust risk management systems to meet the scale requirements.”

Harmanpreet Kaur has been named India's women's ODI captain, just hours after Mithali Raj announced her retirement from all forms of the game.
On Wednesday, the All-India Selection Committee met to select India's squads for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. Beginning June 23, India will play three T20Is and as many ODIs in Dambulla and Kandy, respectively.

Mylab Discovery Solutions has introduced the 'PregaScreen' at-home pregnancy test kit, which allows women to determine their pregnancy status on their own.

MKSSS Introduces 2 New Media Courses for Girl Students
Under its educational institution, Shri Siddhivinayak Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS), a 127-year-old organisation with a century-long history of dedicated work towards educating and empowering women, has introduced two new media courses, 'B.VOC. Media & Entertainment' and 'Certificate Course in Media Skills.'
The B.VOC. Media & Entertainment programme will last three years, while the Certificate Course in Media Skills will last one year. The cost-effective courses, which will be taught at the School of Media Activity Research & Technology (SMART), have been designed to train students in Media Technologies and Specific Media Skills, and are made available specifically for girls in accordance with MKSSS's vision and mission, which is 'Women's Empowerment through Education.'
IBS Software's Latha Nair Wins Woman Icon of the Year
Latha Nair, Vice President and Head of Service Delivery at IBS Software, has been named Woman Icon of the Year by UBS Forums, a Maharashtra-based professional think-tank that aspires to establish and provide transformational leadership for individuals and business.
According to a press release, the award was presented at the 3rd Women Empowerment Summit and GIWL Awards 2022, which took place at the Hotel Taj Lands End in Mumbai.
