Abu Dhabi Chamber forms new board of ADBWC to Support Businesswomen & Women Entrepreneurs
The Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has formed a new board for the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council (ADBWC). The step was taken in a bid to support businesswomen and women entrepreneurs in Abu Dhabi and to help them strengthen their contribution to the economic development of the Emirates.
The new board that will come into action will play a key role in helping women entrepreneurs improve their skills and introduce them to the applicable laws & policies. It will also guide them to learn and understand the benefits ofseveral local and federal governmental initiatives and incentives that have been put in place.
Chaired by Her Excellency Asma Al Fahim, the ADBWC counts in its members, Board Members from the Abu Dhabi Chamber. It also includes several successful businesswomen from Abu Dhabi namely H.E. Nour Al Tamimi, H.E. Dr. Khadija Al Ameri, H.E. Marwa Al Mansouri, and H.E. Sheikha Al Nuwais.
Google to Support 20 Startups Founded by Indian Women
Google unveiled the first cohort of the "Google for Firms Accelerator-India Women Founders," consisting of 20 women-founded or co-founded startups that were chosen from around 400 submissions.
The tech giant will focus particularly on issues such as mentorship, recruiting difficulties, access to networks, and finance that can be difficult for female founders for a number of social reasons including poor representation.
The programme will also feature workshops and support for topics like as AI/ML, Cloud, UX, Android, Web, product strategy, and growth, according to the business. It will also give access to a global community of female founders.
Aspire for Her, Brown Living, CoLLearn Education, Commudle, Dubverse, Elda Health, Fitbots, and other firms were among those chosen.
Deepika Padukone Joins the Roster of A-list Brand Ambassadors for Luxury Jewellery Brand Cartier
Deepika Padukone has joined the roster of A-list brand ambassadors for luxury jewellery company Cartier. The firm's newest brand ambassador has been revealed to be the actress.
Time magazine's annual list of the 100 most important persons in the world has included Deepika twice. She wore an Indomptables de Cartier Panther and Zebra necklace around her wrist as she attended the BoF 500 Gala in Paris over the weekend. The necklace is composed of yellow gold and black lacquer and set with tsavorite garnet, moonstone, and onyx.
In a statement, Cartier Chief Marketing Officer Arnaud Careys said that Deepika "embodies the maison's attitude and principles of honouring innovation, universality, and open-mindedness" as an inspirational actress and dedicated humanitarian.
Nitu Chandr, an Award-Winning Producer and Hollywood Actor, Launches a Production Studio in Abu Dhabi
Nitu Chandra Srivastava, a Hollywood actor, opens Champaran Talkies Studios FZ LLC in Abu Dhabi on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The project is a tribute to Gandhiji, who started his Satyagraha, a non-violent type of protest, in Champaran, as well as to Nitu's Indian heritage, which has greatly contributed to her career as an actor and producer.
Nitu battled her way through various Indian film sectors despite coming from a middle-class household with no experience in the film business to establish herself as an actor. Nitu used Champaran Talkies as a vehicle for giving back to the Indian film community and the people she had entertained with her acting.
With the goal of providing high-caliber movies to Indian audiences, Nitu Chandra and her brother Mr. Nitin Chandra founded Champaran Talkies in Mumbai, India, in 2010. Together, they aimed to improve the bad reputation of films from Nitu's native Bihar.

Humjoli Foundation attempts Guinness World Record by Creating Mosaic Image using 4562 Sanitary Pads
India has over 355 million women and girls who menstruate, but millions of them still encounter substantial obstacles to having a comfortable and respectable menstrual hygiene management experience.
A group of volunteers from the Humjoli Foundation sought a Guinness World Record by creating a mosaic image using 4,562 biodegradable sanitary pads in an effort to raise awareness about sustainable period products.
The creation of this product served to promote sustainability and increase knowledge of other environmentally friendly and sustainable period products available on the market besides single-use sanitary pads. Additionally, the organisers aimed to de-stigmatize menstruation and have a discourse about it without any taboos.
Nykaa Collaborates with Apparel Group for a Venture in the Gulf
In order to market beauty items in the Gulf region, Indian cosmetics-to-fashion shop Nykaa has partnered with Dubai-based fashion and leisure retailer Apparel Group.
To take advantage of the market opportunity and growth potential in the region, the two partners will join forces to create a new company that will market and sell these items in six countries that make up the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
According to a regulatory filing by Nykaa, FSN International Pvt. Ltd., a unit of Nykaa, will own 55% of the new business, with Apparel Group owning the remaining 40%. The partnership's finances were kept private. Nykaa aspires to establish a multi-brand beauty retailing enterprise in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
