The Network Empowering Women in Business, Mums & Co, acquired by Insurance Australia Group

The parent company of NRMA Insurance, Insurance Australia Group (IAG), has completely acquired Mums & Co. which is a network for mothers and women in business. The general insurer disclosed that it had recently increased its investment in order to fully acquire the company.
Carrie Kwan co-founded Mums & Co, in 2016, and later she was asked by the IAG to assist in developing a support network program for mothers and women all over Australia. There are more than 28,600 people who follow Mums & Co, including its members.
According to Carrie, the acquisition will bring a chance for the businesses and brands to demonstrate their commitment to their community and customers, also the company's support and scale will increase.
Mums & Co, and NRMA Insurance work well together to support women entrepreneurs. Mums & Co honors the optimism and fortitude of beginning something new, and NRMA Insurance stands by them if things don't work accordingly.
Carrie also stated that this acquisition also allows Mums & Co to benefit from the size and strength of NRMA Insurance. NRMA Insurance and the McKell Institute revealed that the micro business sector in Australia has grown at a faster stage by 14 per cent over the past four years.
