Under the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, the Jharkhand government stated that it seeks to facilitate the education of nine lakh teenage girls in the state (SPKSY). In October of last year, Chief Minister Hemant Soren inaugurated the welfare programme from Giridih in conjunction with the "Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar" campaign, a drive to bring the advantages of various government programmes to the doorsteps of villagers.
"The state government's Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana is an endeavour to support teenage girls' education and a step toward women's empowerment and gender justice.
This programme will benefit nine lakh teenage girls in the state "The administration said in a release.
Three lakh teenage girls were included in the "Aapki Yojana" programme, which ran for a month. In a ceremony held to mark the end of the government's first three years, the chief minister deposited a total of Rs 219 crore to the accounts of more than 5.52 lakh teenage girls, according to the statement.
The program's goal is to help adolescent females pay for their education while also making sure they don't drop out and avoiding child marriage, according to the statement.
The statement read, "The Jharkhand government has displayed honour by naming two of its scholarship programmes after Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda, the legendary leader of the Jharkhand movement and the first captain of the Indian hockey team, and Savitribai Phule, our nation's first teacher.
The Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship Scheme is designed to help young people from scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, minority groups, and economically underprivileged sections pursue higher education abroad. The state administration has signed an MoU with the British High Commission to broaden the scope of the international scholarship programme.
"It should be mentioned that six students are now using the overseas scholarship programme to pursue higher education abroad. 20 students are now receiving advantages from the programme during the current academic year, "The declaration said.
Only ten boys and girls from the scheduled tribes were previously given the benefit of this initiative. The advantage of the scheme has been extended to youths from scheduled castes, minorities, and backward classes, according to the announcement, which added that the number has been expanded to a maximum of 25. This follows the chief minister's directives from last year.
