Team India to face defending champions Australia in semi-finals of Women T20 World Cup

The ICC Women's T20 World Cup semi-final has been scheduled for India against Australia today in Newlands, Cape Town in South Africa.
The Australian team is considered to be ranked number one by winning the T20 World Cup five times in seven different rounds. They have been dominant in almost all the games of this event to date.
Although team India has been ranked fourth position and also one time they have made it to the finals but they will never recover from the nightmares of the T20 World Cup 2020. There they lost the match against Australia with 85 runs.
Both the teams have faced each other 30 times till now where the Indian team has managed to win 6 matches and the rest 22 matches have been won by the Australian team.
In the Women's Cricket tournament, the Indian team won its three group matches and lost one while Australia managed to win all four group events.
The Indian women's team needs to have strong gameplay to secure their winning position. Strong players like Smriti Mandhana, captain Harmanpreet Kaur, and Shefali Verma must showcase their skills on the pitch for India.
Smriti Mandhana has scored 149 runs which is the highest score for leading the team whereas Alyssa Healy has scored 146 runs for the Australian team. The second semi-final will be against England and South Africa on Friday. On Sunday the final match will be played against both the winners of the semifinals.
