Match 9 of TATA Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 held at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium witnessed dramatic and powerful team performances. UPW batters and bowlers secured their second win by chasing the score put up by RCB batters, however, it was a tie. TATA WPL saw its first Super Over, where UPW clinched the victory by 4-runs. Despite a loss, RCB's star batter Ellyse Perry scored a brilliant undefeated 90 off 56.

UP Warriorz won the toss and elected to bowl against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. RCB's Danni Wyatt-Hodge started strong alongside Smriti Mandhana, but UPW's skipper Deepti Sharma provided a breakthrough in the fourth over, dismissing Smriti Mandhana. Ellyse Perry and Wyatt-Hodge then contributed to a 50-run stand off 43 balls, propelling RCB to 75/1. Perry, the all-time leading run-scorer in the TATA WPL, reached her maiden WPL half-century in just 36 balls. Ellyse's unbeaten 90 off 56 balls powered RCB to 180/6 as other batters could not make many runs.

UP Warriorz started strong with Kiran Navgire's 24 off 12 balls, but Renuka Singh Thakur's precision ended her onslaught, allowing RCB to gain their first breakthrough. Sneh Rana made her RCB debut, removing Tahlia McGrath and Deepti Sharma. Kim Garth returned in the 11th over, reducing UPW to 103/5. Uma Chetry and Sehrawat tried to rebuild, but RCB struck in quick succession. Ellyse Perry dismissed Sehrawat. Sophie Ecclestone and Saima Thakor took the last wicket, bringing the game to a knife's edge. However, UPW Batters contributed to the chase scoring 180 leading to a super over.

In a Super Over match, Grace Harris and Chinelle Henry batted, with Kim Garth bowling a brilliant super-over, allowing only 8 runs. Sophie Ecclestone, the Number 1 T2OI bowler, defended 9 runs, allowing just 4 runs to RCB in high pressure, securing a win for the UP Warriorz.
