UP Warriorz secured a thrilling 12-run victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Match 18 of TATA WPL 2025, with Georgia Voll scoring a record-breaking unbeaten 99 off 56 balls. RCB responded well with Richa Ghosh's 69 off 33 and contributions from the lower order. Despite losing five in a row, UPW provided fans with an unforgettable experience, with Georgia Voll as Player of the Match.
The last match held at the Ekana Cricket Stadium between UP Warriorz and Royal Challengers Bengaluru witnessed a mammoth 225/5, the highest total ever in WPL campaign by UPW on the beautiful International Women's Day occasion. Whereas, Table Toppers Delhi Capitals with 10 points alongside Gujarat Giants at spot no. 2 and Mumbai Indians at spot no. 3 have officially qualified for the next stage to be held at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
UPW openers Grace Harris and Georgia Voll started the match with strong batting performances. Harris set the tone with a boundary off the first ball and then took the attack to Kim Garth, dispatching her for three consecutive boundaries. Voll, in equally dominant form, took 14 runs off Charlie Dean and brought up a rapid fifty-run stand, propelling UPW to 67/0 in six overs. Kiran Navgire's explosive cameo ensured UPW's dominance in their final home game. Voll, supported by Chinelle Henry and Sophie Ecclestone, finished unbeaten on 99 off 56 deliveries, bringing UPW to a record-breaking 225/5, the highest team total in TATA WPL history.
Chasing a dominant total, RCB openers started with a flurry of boundaries. S. Meghana leading the charge with 20 runs off the second over. However, UPW responded with Chinelle Henry dismissing skipper Smriti Mandhana early. Ellyse Perry reclaiming the Orange Cap was also caught by Anjali Sarvani. Sophie Ecclestone and Anjali Sarvani took wickets, but RCB's Richa Ghosh continued to dominate. Deepti Sharma removed Richa for 69 off 33 balls. Georgia Voll, entrusted with the final over, clinched a 12-run victory for UPW, securing their last home game.
