Mumbai Indians secured a four-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a thrilling last-over finish, due to Amanjot Kaur's all-round performance and Harmanpreet Kaur's half-century. RCB set a target of 167/7 in 20 overs, but MI chased down the target successfully, handing them their first loss of the season at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. The win was the third final-over finish in seven matches in TATA WPL 2025.

MI Captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and opted to field first. The RCB skipper took the chance gracefully and led the home side with five boundaries and a six in the first three overs showcasing her dominance at the home ground with the fans cheering. However, her performance was soon caught off by MI wicket-taker Yastika Bhatia, bowled by Shabnim Ismail. Smriti scored 26 off 13 balls with a strike rate of 200.

Ellyse Perry took over with a brisk start, but a flurry of wickets left RCB reeling at 57-4. MI's stars, Hayley Matthews and Nat Sciver-Brunt, perished, and off-spinner Sanskriti Gupta took her maiden TATA WPL wicket. Batters Danni Wyatt Hodge (9 off 9), Raghvi Bist (1 off 3), and Kanika Ahuja (3 off 9) were sent back to the pavilion after pairing up with Ellyse Perry. RCB's rebuild was marked by Perry playing the aggressor and Richa Ghosh playing the anchor. Amanjot Kaur dismissed Richa for 28 off 25 leaving RCB at 108/5 and Georgia Wareham for six, but Perry single-handedly powered the home side with 167/7 after 20 overs.

MI opener Yastika Bhatia was dismissed, bringing Sciver-Brunt to the middle. Brunt continued her strong performance, with her 18-ball 41* in the powerplay. However, Garth's off-cutter beat her, but her 42 off 21 set up MI well. RCB bowlers maintained their attack but MI's skipper Harmanpreet put on a 62-run stand with Amanjot Kaur, reaching her sixth WPL fifty. The last duo of MI secured the match, with Amanjot Kaur scoring 34 off 27 and Kamalini G's (11 off 8) last ball boundary left the RCB crowd go silent
