Delhi Capitals completed a dominant nine-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians, securing a spot at the top of the points table. A brilliant spin attack restricted Mumbai to a low total, while Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma made light work of the chase, with Meg anchoring the innings and shafali playing aggressively. DC reached the target comfortably, winning with nine wickets in hand.

The TATA Women's Premier League's 13th Match was held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, where DC (124/1) cruised to a commanding win over MI (123/9)

Chasing 124, Delhi's powerful opening duo—Meg Lanning (60* off 49) and Shafali Verma (43 off 28)—set the chase on fire. Shafali, in her aggressive style, blasted 16 runs in the fourth over, while Meg’s composed play added balance to the partnership. Together, they brought up another solid fifty-run stand, taking DC to a dominant 56/0 at the end of the powerplay

DC’s spinners took control early, dismantling MI’s middle order with precision. Minnu Mani (3/17) and Jess Jonassen (3/25) put the brakes on Mumbai’s batting, limiting them to a modest 123/9. Jess’s match-winning spell, which broke MI’s backbone, earned her the Player of the match award, marking her second consecutive win and reinforcing her reputation as one of the best in the world.

Minnu dealt another blow to MI’s innings, removing S. Sajana and Amelia Kerr in quick succession. Annabel piled on the pressure with a sensational diving catch to dismiss Kerr, one of the season’s best, as she sprinted, judged the ball perfectly, and executed a stunning dive. Jonassen then capped off her brilliant spell by dismissing G. Kamalini, completing MI’s collapse.

DC’s tight bowling and sharp fielding kept MI on the back foot, never allowing them to recover and leaving them with a below-par total. Their in-form openers made light work of the chase, completing the target with ease. A performance earned Delhi Capitals two vital points, solidifying their dominance in WPL 2025.
