Tata WPL 2023: Mumbai Indians win by 8 wickets against Delhi Capitals

The Tata WPL 2023 Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians: Team Mumbai Indians made its continuous third win and has made it to the top of the points table with 6 points. They defeated Delhi Capitals with 8 wickets in the inaugural Tata Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023. This was the seventh match of the mega tournament which was held at the DY Patil Stadium, in Mumbai. Team DC won the toss and choose to bat first, but was all out at 18 overs making 105 runs.

Mumbai Indians crossed its fifty with the opening duo of Yastika Bhatia and Hayley Matthews. MI made 109 runs losing 2 wickets in just 15 overs. The bowlers of MI were in full swing during the match. ‘Purple Patch’ Saika Ishaque, a left-arm spinner maintained her incredible stats of 3 wickets on 13 runs, Issy Wong, a powerful English pacer, grabbed 3 wickets for 10 runs, additionally Hayley Matthews claimed 3 wickets and Pooja Vastrakar took 1 wicket of team DC. Apart from the heavy loss, Jemimah Rodrigues registered her name for an extraordinary catch-out for Hayley Matthews of MI. Delhi made a change in players and replaced Arundhati Reddy with Minnu Mani.
