Tata Group to Hire 4,000 Uttarakhand Women at Manufacturing Jobs

Tata Group plans to hire 4,000 Uttarakhand women for precision manufacturing jobs, aiming to increase employment opportunities in sectors like automotive, aerospace, and electronics. This initiative will empower women with specialized skills, positively impacting the local economy.
Uttarakhand's planning department has received a letter from Tata Group confirming the commencement of recruitment under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme and National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme programs for Tata's plants in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and Kolar in Karnataka. The Uttarakhand government, led by Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami, is launching a recruitment drive for Tata's plants under the NAPS and NATS programs.
Female candidates with completion of class 10 or 12 are eligible for NAPS, while those with class 10, class 12, or ITI diplomas can apply for NATS. Tata Group has announced that successful candidates for the NAPS and NATS schemes will be appointed as shop floor technicians, with a fixed salary, accommodation, food, transportation facilities, and other benefits under the Apprenticeship Act of 1961, based on their qualifications.
The letter mentioned, "The candidates will be deputed as shop floor technicians in precision electronics assembly. Their role will involve operating highly sophisticated and automated machines under supervision."
