PV Sindhu dropped to WR-11 in women's singles, but teenagers Tasnim Mir and Unnati Hooda dominated after winning the Chattisgarh Challenger. Unnati won the tournament while Tasnim reached the finals achieving a career best Ranking of 60, while Tasnim grabbed 16 spots to reach WR-74.

Kidmabi Srikanth, star Indian shutter and former World Championships silver medalist, dropped to WR-23 in the latest BWF rankings, which were released on Tuesday. Srikanth's 2023 has been quite slow and poor, with two first rounds existing at the French Open and Denmark Open. He couldn't even make it to the semifinals of any event. Srikanth has secured 46,183 points so far.

Srikanth may miss the Paris Olympics after missing the Tokyo 2022 Olympics, as only the top 16 players qualify for direct entry. Meanwhile, from one nation, just two players can receive the quotas whereas India's HS Prannoy and Lakshya Sen are likely to get the quotas for men's singles, with no significant changes in the rankings this week.
