Tarun Katial to launch Eve World, the women-only platform

By: WE Staff | Saturday, 30 October 2021

Tarun Katial has announced the launch of his new Eve World platform. The women-only platform aims to provide a good and valuable digital experience for women by allowing them to express themselves, create, and connect with others. Prior to the debut, the company received an early investment from Singapore-based Jungle Ventures. The size of the investment, however, has not been revealed.

Aparna Acharekar and Rajneel Kumar have joined the platform as co-founders. The content and community verticals will be Acharekar's responsibility. Rajneel Kumar will be in charge of the verticals of product, technology, and growth. Kumar has built major gaming, streaming, and consumer-tech platforms in the past. Katial, Kumar, and Acharekar were previously coworkers at the over-the-top (OTT) platform ZEE5.

The world around us has typically been created with men as normal consumers, according to Tarun Katial, CEO and founder of Eve World. Aparna Acharekar and Rajneel Kumar, his co-founders, have shared this vision and goal for some time before deciding to collaborate to develop with women at the centre of the universe, according to Katial.

"Eve World will enable, and empower women to achieve what they want in an environment that furthers their aspirations. We want to become a platform that gives women true freedom online, for them to create and consume content, have meaningful conversations, share opinions, thoughts, and build social connections that will help them grow and develop. For this, we are glad to have the support of Jungle Ventures – Amit Anand and Rishab Malik in bringing this vision alive," Katial added.
