Tamil Nadu CM M.K Stalin launches Schemes to Empower Women

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has launched several schemes to empower women through education and social development. These include the Puthumai Pen Scheme, which covers 75,028 students in aided schools, the Kalaignar Women's Skill Development Centre, which provides skill development and job opportunities, and the Vidiyal Payanam and Thozhi Hostels Initiatives. These initiatives aim to promote gender equality and empower women through education and skill development.
CM Stalin mentioned "Our Dravidian model government has been designing and implementing various welfare schemes for women's development, including reservation for women in government jobs, the creation of self-help groups, and ensuring an equal share in ancestral property for women. We are also working to increase women's enrolment in higher education as part of our women's education programme."
The CM emphasized the importance of women's progress in societal progress. He highlighted the government's efforts to empower women and eradicate enslavement, drawing inspiration from the Dravidian movement's goal of gender parity. The government has implemented various schemes for women's rights and development.
The inauguration of the Kalaignar Women's Skill Development Centre in Saidapet was attended by Tamil Nadu Health Minister, Minister for HR&CE, Greater Corporation Mayor, and South Chennai MP.
