TalentSprint, a global edtech company and market leader in transformational deeptech programmes, today announced the fourth edition of its Women Engineers (WE) programme. Google has been a supporter of the programme since its inception, as part of their commitment to engaging, enabling, and empowering women across the technology spectrum through targeted initiatives.

WE's primary goal is to prepare enterprising and aspiring female students from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds for (https://we.talentsprint.com) high-growth tech careers. This year, the programme aims to identify and prepare 250 first-year female students to become globally competitive software engineers (https://we.talentsprint.com). Every selected student will receive a fully-funded 100% tuition scholarship as well as a Rs 100,000 stipend through the programme.

The absence of proper diversity, equity, and inclusion in the global technology sector, particularly in terms of women's representation, is now a widely held problem. TalentSprint created the WE programme four years ago to specifically solve this issue. The program's first three cohorts were incredibly popular, with over 55,000 people applying for 500 spots. WE alumni have received 100% placements in over 50 global IT organisations (https://we.talentsprint.com), with an average income of 3x the market median and the highest compensation of 54 lakhs per year. This demonstrates that the WE programme is a transformative platform for young women students who want to rocket themselves into rewarding worldwide careers.

Commenting on the announcement of the next cohort, Shiv Venkataraman, VP/GM, Google said, "For tech to truly fulfill the promise of leveling the playing field and creating universally relevant solutions, the representation of women in tech organizations is key. The success of the previous cohorts has encouraged us to scale the program further and we are very happy to be extending support to TalentSprint to scale this program to the next level."

"The TalentSprint WE programme has been rising from strength to strength in the previous three years," said Dr. Santanu Paul, Co-founder and CEO of TalentSprint. We've been inspired by the transformational path of over 500 passionate female engineering students who have now started careers in IT with prominent tech organisations.

We are excited to expand our collaboration with Google and continue to close the gender gap in the tech industry."

WE is a two-year intensive programme that combines learning from top-tier faculty and industry experts at TalentSprint with mentorship from Google engineers and technology leaders. Students with an engineering background pursuing B.Tech or B.E., specialising in IT, CSE, EEE, Math, Applied Math, or equivalent, and having scored over 70% in their 10th and 12th grades are eligible for this programme.
