A United Nations Development Program (UNDP) campaign against violence against women will be spearheaded by Bhumi Pednekar! Violence has awful physical and mental effects, according to Bhumi. We must remove gender-based violence from our culture since it is a pervasive social problem.
The Govinda Mera Naam actress shared a snapshot on Instagram that said "NO to domestic violence" to declare her unique association for the cause. Bhumi said in the description of the picture she had posted, "I thought," "Gender-based violence affects more than 1 in 3 women throughout the course of their lifetimes. One of the most frequent violations of human rights is violence against women. Participate in the #16Days movement. Join me in saying "No to violence" by speaking out with @undpinindia."
"As a responsible Indian citizen, I want to do my best to increase public awareness of this social ill and attempt to sensitise others so that we can combat gender-based violence," she continued. It is an honour to collaborate with UNDP on this significant project to effect change in our nation.
Bhumi continued, "It is imperative that we all band together, work together, and make a commitment to changing people's perspectives and eradicating stigmas associated with this. This will take time and a lot of work, but it's a critical step toward giving our nation's women and girls a safety net.
In the crime-comedy Govinda Naam Mera, Bhumi will next be seen alongside Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani. A movie directed by Shashank Khaitan will debut on Disneyplus Hotstar on December 16. Afwaah, Bheed, Arjun Kapoor's Lady Killer, and Mere Husband Ki Biwi are some of Pednekar's other works.
