Sima Ganwani Ved, founder and Chairwoman of the Apparel Group, is set to deliver a speech on 18 January 2024 at the World Woman Davos Agenda during the World Economic Forum week in Davos, Switzerland. The World Woman Davos Agenda is a multistakeholder initiative aiming to redefine women's roles and promote global cooperation for gender equality.

Sima Ganwani Ved, a 20-year-old UAE retail industry titan, revolutionized the industry by starting as a Department Manager at her father's mall. The Apparel Group acquires more than 85 brands in over 2,100 stores throughout 14 countries due to her leadership. Her accomplishments have brought her a number of accolades such as Emirates Woman of the Year, Retailer of the Year, Great Place to Work, Great Women's Award, and Philanthropreneur of the Year. She was also named among the 100 most influential businesswomen of 2023. In addition to her commercial achievements, she is an enthusiastic advocate of women in business, training her daughters and others to pursue similar professions.

The World Woman Foundation CEO Rupa Dash said, "The gender gap in the world must be closed now as we cannot afford to wait 300 years. The time is right for a visionary leader like Sima Ganwani Ved to contribute to reimagining #equalitymoonshot for India in an audacious manner."

The World Woman Foundation, a US-based charity, aims to empower 1 million women and girls globally by 2030. With a global presence and 15,000 members, it has established a network of 300 change-makers and 55,000 graduates through its Global Mentorship Program.
