To recognise the extraordinary efforts of Indian women living in the UAE, the local platform Indian Women in Dubai will organise the Indian Women Awards 2022 in September. At this ceremony, over 30 women will be recognised for both their professional and humanitarian achievements.
With more than 45,000 members and founded by Reema Mahajan, Indian Women in Dubai is the biggest platform for Indian expat women in the UAE. Reema, an IIT-IIM alumna, supports the goal of #womensupportingwomen. IWD has collaborated with and held numerous events at the Indian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai under the sponsorship of the Indian Consulate General in Dubai.
Their most recent event was a "Hope & Happiness" gathering held in the Majlis Al Amal lounge in collaboration with the Al Jalila Foundation for women battling cancer.
We have witnessed a wonderful response to the introduction of our awards, and we are pleased to honour and recognise all the Indian women doing amazing work, said Mahajan, a lifestyle influencer and champion for women's empowerment and SMEs who launched IWD in 2020. The event this year intends to highlight diversity and inclusivity, and two special performances by courageous women battling cancer and resilient children will also be featured.
Mahajan firmly believes that “when women support each other, incredible things happen.”
