SAWiT introduces Flagship Initiative training 10 million Women in Gen.AI

South Asian Women in Tech (SAWiT) is expanding its efforts in Hyderabad to train 10 million women in Generative AI skills. The flagship initiative SAWiT.AI, partnering with T-Hub and the Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA), aims to upskill 500,000 women in the first phase. Launched on 21 September 2024, it focuses on bridging the gender gap in AI through peer-to-peer learning, entrepreneurship, and job placements in collaboration with GUVI.
Hyderabad ranks 4th in India's digital talent pool, crucial for SAWiT's nationwide initiative and advancing AI skills among women, closing the gender gap in technology. The SAWiT.AI program, supported by prominent figures including, HCL Tech, Chairperson, Roshni Nadar Malhotra; Actor and Women's Empowerment Advocate, Samantha Ruth Prabhu; and Senior Leader, Tata Consultancy Services, Farzana Haque aims to boost women's workforce participation and India's technological growth through three phases: SAWiT.AI Learnathon, SAWiT.AI Hackathon, and SAWiT.AI Festival.
SAWiT aims to increase women's participation in India's workforce, unlocking $550 billion in economic potential. Utilizing Kalido's AI-driven platform, it offers peer-to-peer learning, entrepreneurship, job readiness, and large-scale job placements. SAWiT builds a thriving ecosystem for one million women, offering networking, mentorship, entrepreneurship, skill growth, and recruitment opportunities.
