SAHIT National Conference 2024 highlights Women's Workforce Participation

The SAHIT National Conference 2024 at the Indian National Sciences Academy in New Delhi celebrated women driving India's growth. The event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and academics to enhance women's workforce participation and released the "SAHIT Women in Workforce Report 2023-24,", providing insights to boost gender diversity.

CyberPeace Foundation and Miranda House organized the SAHIT National Conference highlighting the importance of gender diversity in India's journey toward becoming a developed nation. The conference celebrated women's achievements and launched initiatives inkling the SAHIT report, which provides actionable recommendations to boost gender diversity. Secretary of Youth Affairs, Meeta Rajivlochan, emphasized women's role in driving economic and social progress.

Key highlights of the conference included an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding women leaders. Among the honorees were Niyati Tewari, a 17-year-old innovator celebrated for her AI-based educational platform, and Prof. Reshmi Kazi for her contributions to nuclear security studies. The event also emphasized the importance of making gender diversity a core part of India's economic progress, with speakers like Dr. Subi Chaturvedi, Chief Patron at SAHIT, advocating for women's leadership in all spheres.

Dr. Subi emphasized the platform's significance as a movement towards gender diversity, urging everyone to break down barriers and contribute to India's $6.69 trillion economy by 2030.
