Radhika Madan, the tremendously talented Indian actress, has been appointed to the jury of the prestigious Tallinn Film Festival, making her the first Indian woman to hold this prestigious position.
This astounding achievement is all the more remarkable given Radhika Madan's attendance at the same festival just a year earlier, when her picture "Sanaa" was featured in the 26th edition of the Black Nights picture Festival. Instead of promoting her own work, she returns as a known member of the jury, using her knowledge to examine and promote exceptional films from across the world.
The Black Nights Film Festival (Pimedate öde FilmiFestival) is an annual film festival held in Tallinn, Estonia, toward the end of November. It is the only FIAPF-accredited competitive feature film festival in Northern Europe. The festival's 27th edition, which will take place from November 3rd to November 18th, 2023, has already piqued the curiosity of the worldwide film community.
Radhika Madan joins a distinguished jury that includes Mexico's Head of Jury Nicolas Celis Lopez, Israel's Ron Fogel, Germany's Diana Ilijane, and China's Ran Huang.
Radhika Madan acknowledged her joy, adding, "I'm honoured to be a part of this diverse and talented jury at Tallinn Film Festival." It's an international celebration of cinema, and I'm honored to be a member of this fantastic judging panel."
Radhika Madan's extraordinary career trajectory is set to continue, owing to her exceptional competence and expanding global renown. Her most recent project, "Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video," directed by renowned filmmaker Mikhil Musale, has garnered interest, and her upcoming projects include a remake of the critically acclaimed "Soorarai Pottru," starring Akshay Kumar and generating Oscar buzz, "Rumi Ki Sharafat" by ad filmmaker Prashant Bhagya, and "Sanaa," which has already made its mark in several International Film Festivals.
