Praising Bageshwar Dham for organizing the mass wedding, where 251 couples were married, President Droupadi noted that to help these women become self-sufficient, sewing machines and other essential items are being provided to all the newlywed brides.
“I urge all women to keep striving for education and self-reliance. Your success will lead to the success of our society and our nation. We have set a goal to celebrate the centenary of our independence in 2047 and to transform India into a developed nation,” President stated.
