President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu recently presented the 69th National Film Awards to prominent Indian actors and actresses who have given phenomenal screen presence and gathered immense appreciation worldwide. Next, she is all set to visit Bihar on Friday, 20 October 2023.
The President will take part in programs held at various locations in Bihar and Gaya. She will attend the Central University of South Bihar's third convocation ceremony on October 20 at the Panchanpur main road Gaya.
Professor Kameshwar Nath Singh, Vice Chancellor of the Central University of South Bihar, stated that this is the third convocation ceremony to be held at the University, earlier in the year 2016 the first and in 2018 the second convocation was held. It was reported that this time, President Draupadi Murmu would be present as the Chief Guest at the convocation.
Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister CP Thakur will also mark their presence. During the convocation ceremony, toppers will be awarded with medals in addition to degrees. A total of 103 people will be awarded medals out of which 66 are students. Gold Medals, Chancellor Medals, Department Medals, and School medals will be presented to the achievers.
According to reports, President Draupadi Murmu will fly into Gaya Airport and then to the sacred Mahabodhi Temple. She will then attend the Central University of South Bihar's convocation ceremony.
ADG of the Bihar Special Armed Forces, Ravindra Shankaran has strengthened the security arrangements. Before this, DM Dr. Tyag Rajan SM held a security review meeting with all district sub-division level officials.
