President Murmu stresses On Creating Women-led Developed India by 2047

President Draupadi Murmu visited Baljek Airport in Tura, Meghalaya, a significant move aimed at promoting women's empowerment. She interacted with the members of self-help groups (SHGs) and stressed that women's empowerment in the social, economic, political, and spiritual areas is necessary for India to achieve its goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. She also pointed out that women-led development cannot be implemented until they have the freedom to make their own decisions, which has partially been achieved with economic independence. Women who are economically independent feel more confident about themselves.
President Murmu emphasized that increased government efforts are necessary to improve women's participation in the workforce and their social, economic, and political development, she also considered the prominent contributions made by Indian women in a variety of fields. She encouraged the SHG members to be role models in their communities as well as at the local, state, and national levels.
The President also laid the foundation for a new integrated administration complex in Tura during her visit, demonstrating commitment to regional development and women's empowerment. Her visit to Meghalaya sparked hope and inspiration, highlighting the significant contributions of women in the state and highlighting the untapped potential of Indian women.
