President Murmu Inaugurates Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show; says State has Fastest Growing Economy

The maiden International Trade Show in Uttar Pradesh was inaugurated by President Draupadi Murmu. During the inauguration, she said that the state's achievement of economic growth is commendable and that the state's economy, which is currently the fastest growing in India will be crucial in helping the nation to achieve it's goal of becoming a $5 trillion economy.
She further praised the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, and his entire team for their efforts in this regard.
On the occasion of the five-day UP International Trade Show's opening on Thursday held in Greater Noida, the President congratulated all the attendees and expressed her joy about the exhibition organized.
She praised the efforts being made to introduce UP products to domestic and international markets through Trade shows as around 2000 manufacturers are showcasing their goods at the show.
A wide range of representatives from various embassies and established industrial houses marked their presence which made the products produced in the state showcased on a global scale. Uttar Pradesh has shown significant economic growth over the past six years, also between 2016-17, the GDP of Uttar Pradesh increased from Rs 13 lakh crore to Rs 22 lakh crore.
The President mentioned that UP has recently made advancements in the areas of investment and economic development and it has become one of the fastest-growing economies in the nation. India, which currently has the fifth largest economy in the world is on the path to make it spot on the third position.
According to Draupadi Murmu, UP is creating a favorable ecosystem for the MSMEs. With 96 lakh MSME units, UP leads at number one position. The recent G-20 conference success has impressed the nation along with the Trade show which is undoubtedly going through a successful path.
At the Trade show, more than 400 buyers from various nations around the world are present. Along with the G-20 objectives, the UP International Trade Show will also strengthen National and International priorities.
Draupadi Murmu was also overjoyed with the fact that young state entrepreneurs, particularly women entrepreneurs have participated in this mega event with their products and goods based on handicrafts. This event will become a turning point in the state's development.
