President Droupadi Murmu praised the remarkable achievement of women securing the top four ranks in the Union Civil Services examination, considering it a glimpse of the ongoing transformation in India. Speaking at the convocation of Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence (SSSUHE), Murmu emphasized the importance of equal opportunities in enabling daughters to outperform boys.

Expressing her delight, President Murmu highlighted the significant impact of providing equal opportunities to women. She stated, "I am extremely glad that in this year's civil services examination, our daughters made it to the top four ranks. This indicates that whenever equal opportunities are given, our daughters perform better than our boys." Her remarks resonated with the audience, who responded with applause.

President Murmu further lauded Sri Sathya Sai University for its commendable efforts in promoting gender equality and empowerment. She highlighted that 66% of the student population in SSSUHE comprises girls, showcasing the university's commitment to providing educational opportunities to women. Additionally, out of the 17 gold medal winners at the convocation, 11 were girls, demonstrating their exceptional academic achievements.

Adding a touch of humour to her address, President Murmu quoted a famous Hindi movie dialogue, saying, "Yeh to trailer hai. Picture abhi baaki hai" (This is just a trailer. The main picture is yet to come). Her witty remark underlined the potential and bright future that lies ahead for women in India.

Drawing from her experiences as the Governor of Jharkhand and now as the President, Murmu commended the remarkable performance of women in universities across the country. She acknowledged the universities' crucial role in nurturing and empowering female students to excel in their academic pursuits.

Furthermore, President Murmu praised SSSUHE for providing education to first-generation degree holders, mentioning that 50% of the students at the university, including herself, were the first in their families to receive degree-level education. This dedication to offering educational opportunities to those who had previously been deprived of them contributes to building a more inclusive and equitable society.

President Murmu's words serve as an inspiration to women across India, highlighting the progress they have made and the potential for further achievements. By celebrating the success of women in the civil services exam and recognizing the importance of equal opportunities, she reinforces the commitment to fostering a gender-equal society and creating a brighter future for all.
