After meeting with the President, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge stated that the PM should have a look at Manipur and take the required action to restore the peace and dignity of the place. According to him, the President was also briefed about the concerning issue of the violence in Haryana by the opposition delegation. On behalf of the opposition parties, Draupadi Murmu had a discussion about the Manipur issue.
There were also a few members present who belonged to the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A) Parliament that visited Manipur on July 29 and 30.
