President Draupadi Murmu to travel Serbia and Suriname

From June 4 to June 9, President Draupadi Murmu will travel to Serbia and Suriname. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the President of the Republic of Suriname, Chandrika Prasad Santokhi will be in charge while the President is in Paramaribo from June 4 to June 6.
President Draupadi will be attending the program's honoring the 150th anniversary of India’s arrival in Suriname as the chief guest. The President and her counterpart Santokhi will have bilateral talks. She will also be engaged with people from the Indian Community and the diaspora, as well as travel to significant historical and cultural places.
From June 7 to 9, President Murmu will travel to Serbia as a part of her second phase of the trip. Aleksandar Vucic, the president of Serbia proposed an invitation to the president for the visit. According to a statement released by the Ministry of External Affairs, President Draupadi will meet with Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, and Speaker of the National Assembly Vladimir Orlic, and meet the President during the visit.
President Draupadi Murmu will be making her first visit to Suriname since she has been in charge of the position last year. Following President Santokhi's visit to India at the start of this year, the President's trip to Suriname will strengthen the momentum in both countries.
