President Draupadi Murmu to engage with Tribal Women Self-Help Organizations in Jharkhand

In Khunti, the town where tribal superstar Birsa Munda was born, President Droupadi Murmu, who is on a three-day visit to Jharkhand, would meet with female members of Self-Help Groups on 25th May, an official said.
According to the official, the campaign is likely to attract more than 25,000 indigenous women. The President will attend the IIIT's second convocation in Ranchi later.
According to the source, "more than 25,000 tribal women members are anticipated to meet with the President at the Birsa Munda College stadium in Khunti."
At the "Mahila SHGs Sammelan," which is being held under the auspices of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs by the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India and the National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation, President will engage in conversation with tribal women who are participants in self-help groups.
According to the official, the program's goal is to inspire and motivate women SHGs to start their own businesses. President will also stop by booths featuring a variety of tribal items on the second day of her trip to Jharkhand, and there will be live tribal art displays, he added.
A number of suppliers and Van Dhan Vikas Kendras from Jharkhand and Bihar have been asked to participate in the show, which will feature 20 stalls filled with different tribal items.
