PM Modi to meet Indian Athletes who competed in Asian Games 2023

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet and address India's Asian Games delegation on Tuesday at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in New Delhi.

Over the last two weeks, Indian athletes have secured 107 medals at the Asian Games in Hangzhou which has surpassed the previous record's including their best of 70 medals at Jakarta in 2018.

The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said in a statement that Prime Minister Modi will interact with and address the team of Indian athletes who have participated and gave their best performance at the Asian Games 2023 around 4:30 p.m. on October 10, 2023, at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium New Delhi.

The event aims to felicitate the athletes for their phenomenal performance at the Asian Games and also to motivate them for future competitions by PM Modi.

India has secured 107 medals in total, including 28 gold, 38 silver, and 41 bronze. The athletes and coaches from India's Asian Games contingent as well as the officials from the Indian Olympic Association, representatives from the National Sports Federation, and officials from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports will attend this event.

The Indian players have outshined at the continental competition including the Indian women athletes who have secured a number of gold, silver, and bronze medals in different categories of sports including boxing, pistol events, Athletics, hurdles, Archery, and more.
