Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on India's 77th Independence Day, addressing pressing issues and emphasizing the need to combat corruption, dynasty politics, and appeasement. This year's speech carried a familial tone, with Modi referring to citizens as "parivarjan" or "family members." The Prime Minister commenced the event by paying homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat and hoisting the tricolor at the iconic Red Fort.

The grand occasion saw the presence of around 1,800 special guests, including those from various walks of life like Central Vista Project workers, nurses, fishermen, sarpanches, primary school teachers, and Khadi workers. In a move to uplift rural areas, PM Modi hailed the Vibrant Villages Programme aimed at boosting development in regions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). He spotlighted the program's success, challenging the notion that these villages are "the last villages of the country," instead asserting that they represent the first village of India. The event honored 600 pradhans (village heads) from these border villages.

Addressing national security, the Prime Minister underscored the positive shift in the security landscape, stating that "serial bomb blasts are a thing of the past." He further noted the reduction in terror attacks and incidents related to Naxalism, attributing the enhanced sense of security to collaborative efforts.

Recognizing the pivotal role of women in India's progress, Modi lauded women-led development initiatives. He highlighted India's achievement in having the highest number of female pilots in civil aviation and women leading the Chandrayaan space mission. The global recognition of women's contributions was acknowledged, particularly by G20 countries.

PM Modi's address encompassed a spectrum of concerns and achievements, reflecting the nation's progress, challenges, and aspirations. His focus on addressing corruption, dynasty politics, and appeasement while celebrating women's empowerment resonated with diverse sections of society. The familial tone of the speech created an inclusive atmosphere, reinforcing the notion that every citizen plays a vital role in India's journey toward growth and prosperity.
