In the next days, a pink vending zone would be built in Noida. The administration will create a scheme and set aside space for women to set up kiosks in such zones in order to promote female employment. In order to promote equality, the authority will also incorporate the notion of gender budgeting when organising its resources for the upcoming fiscal year.

During the planning stages, ideas for improving outreach to the female population will be considered. The focus will be on empowering the female population while establishing policies, implementing programmes and projects, and allocating resources, according to Noida Authority Chief Executive Officer Ritu Maheshwari. In the current fiscal year, the authority had set aside about Rs 3,000 crore in expenses.

Gender inequalities will be filled in the authority's job areas, officials added, and provisions might be made during the budgeting process.

The authority took a step forward on Wednesday, allocating duty points to 26 female security personnel it had just hired.

“Soon after we found that defence services and defence academies had started accepting female candidates, we realised it was time to offer front-end security roles to women employees,” said officer on special duty, Jyotsna Yadav.

The authority has for the first time inducted female security staff. According to officials, the largest number of them (8) would be stationed at the Noida Stadium in Sector 21A, while four will be stationed at the authority's Sector 6 building.

The rest will be stationed in public parks throughout the city. Officials from the authority have identified areas where a large number of female visitors spend time and believe that reaching out to female employees will be simple.

Women's participation is also encouraged in the public health department, according to the authority, and more personnel will be hired. The female employees, on the other hand, are hired through a manpower consultant.

“Only state government can offer permanent positions after a proper recruitment drive. We have a mandate of hiring only contractual employees,” said an authority officer.

The authority has already received 3,700 vendor registrations. According to an authority officer, a scheme would be implemented in the following month to register solely female applicants.
