Degrees were conferred upon 1,042 students at the 10th convocation ceremony at Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) of which over 63 per cent were women graduates this year.

Sisodia said, “Wherever Babasaheb is mentioned across India, equality and social justice permeate the atmosphere. Therefore, it becomes the responsibility of every student who graduates to use their knowledge and skill towards bringing equality and social justice.”
To guide students of Delhi government schools who are unable to turn to their families for guidance Sisodia also urged students to join the “Desh Ke Mentor” programme.
In the current academic year, the university saw an increase in student intake, AUD vice-chancellor Anu Singh Lather stated. Dr K Kasturirangan, former ISRO chairman, was the chief guest and LG Anil Baijal presided over the ceremony.
After the winter break, the varsity is planning to reopen campus for students. Officials said that libraries and computer centres would be made accessible to students from Friday.
