Niti Kumar Appointed as Chief Operating Officer for Starcom India

Human experience company Starcom has announced the appointment of Niti Kumar as the firm’s new Chief Operating Officer. In her new role, Niti will head client deliverables, revenue growth, and new business developments across the agency’s offices. She will be reporting to Rathi Gangappa, CEO, Starcom India, and working closely with the senior leadership at Public is Media to merge businesses and drive integrated solutions.
Niti is an ace media and marketing professional with over two decades of experience in media planning, marketing, digital communications, and media investment management. Before coming onboard Starcom, Niti was the SVP at Penguin Random House India, where she spearheaded marketing along with the digital and data initiatives of the organization. She also brings onboard diverse experience of having worked across sectors including Publishing, FMCG, Telecom, Automobiles, Garments, and BFSI among others.
A graduate from MICA, Niti has held leadership roles at GroupM (Managing Partner North & East at Mediacom) and Mudra Communications (Office Head, Media, Delhi & Kolkata). Additionally she has directly led and managed media investments and strategy for global and local businesses like Mars Wrigley, Shell Plc, Makemytrip.com, Gillette, Amway, and Reckitt Benckiser, to name a few.
