NGX Supports 100 Women in Finance as Group Establishes Chapter in Africa

Due to its Gender Leadership in the Nigerian private sector, Mr. Jude Chiemeka, Divisional Head, Capital Markets, NGX, emphasised in his introductory remarks that the firm is committed to decreasing the gender gap for women.
"As part of the Nigeria2Equal programme, we are now collaborating with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to address gender disparities in the country's private sector by giving women more opportunities to assume leadership positions and obtain employment. The NGX Group of Companies has also just received EDGE Certification, confirming our dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and making us the first indigenous Nigerian corporation to do so internationally.
These accomplishments continue to demonstrate our dedication to gender equality in the workplace and throughout the sectors in which we operate. Our institution's motivation is to keep developing environmentally friendly goods that advance gender justice.”
According to Amanda Pullinger, chief executive officer of 100 Women in Financial, “The non-profit organization was founded to inspire the next generation of female financiers and to empower women working in the financial sector by paving the way for them. "100 Women in Finance provides a forum for women to discuss opportunities and challenges while supporting them with a network of other women who can relate to them."
She said, "We are generating wealth for women and supporting initiatives to connect with the next generation.”
