NGO 'She Changes Climate' launches special Initiative called 'Embrace Equity'

On International Women's Day, the global non-profit organization "She Changes Climate" unveiled a new campaign called "Embrace Equity" with the goal of amplifying women's voices regarding the effects of climate change."

She Changes Climate raises consciousness about the essential part that women play in advancing just climate action. In order to rescue mankind, it is committed to ensuring that women, in all of their diversity, can make crucial decisions "a news release from the Organisation claimed.

Shreya Ghodawat, a sustainability advisor and impact leader, guided the discussions and networking at the India event, which was held at One8 Commune-Pune.

The primary goal of the event, according to Ghodawat, who is now She Changes Climate's ambassador in India, was to empower and encourage women to take centre stage in discussions about climate change and to develop creative solutions.

I am dedicated to advancing decolonization, justice, fairness, equitable rights, and climate solutions, she added.

Women leaders and influencers from the corporate, social, political, and sustainability sectors attended the event, including Payal Rajpal (director – Robotex India & IBTC Estonia), Pooja Anand (president – Pune City Congress Women Cell), Ruby Pashankar (managing partner – Limban Resorts), Avani Awasthee, Pooja Misal (founder, director – SMEF’s Brick Group of institutes), Sheetal Ranka (co-founder – Ranka Jewellers), Tejaswini Pawar (senior VP – Dentsu), Meenal Patil (RJ – Radio One Pune), Namrata Kriplani, Dimple Dhalwani, Divya Chavan Jachak, Pronoti Shroff, Tejaswini Patil (trustee – Mauli Vidyapeeth) and others.

A special movie produced by She Changes Climate in collaboration with Visionary Pictures was also shown during the event. The movie features seven strong voices discussing the value of a gendered narrative in scientific research, leadership, and climate change.
