New Coach to be Appointed for Indian Women's Cricket Team

For the position of head coach of the Indian women's cricket team, Amol Majumdar and Tushar Arothe have been shortlisted and will be interviewed on June 30. Amol, who has previously been the coach of the South African National team and also for the Indian Premier League team Rajasthan Royals has more chances to be selected and take over as Baroda's coach because Tushar has previously led the Indian team.
Former Durham coach John Lewis of England has also applied for the same position. The interview will be held in Mumbai by the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), which consists of Ashok Malhotra, Jatin Paranjpe, and Sulakshana Nayak. The interviews will be on Friday as stated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
According to a former Indian team player, bringing back Tushar won't be a good option as the team requires a coach having fresh ideas and for that, Amol would be better.
The position of chief selector for the Indian men's team has been without a job since Chetan Sharma was fired in February, so the CAC will probably look for the same position after appointing the head coach.
The deadline for the position of chief selector is June 30 and the interview will probably be taken on July 1.
