Ministry of Defence listed Women Officers deployed at Battlefields

The Indian Defence Ministry has named 2023's major highlights as Nari Shakti, self-reliance, and border infrastructure. Nari Shakti is a campaign that is aimed at empowering women and promoting gender equality, as part of the country's ongoing initiatives.
The Indian government is prioritizing self-reliance in 2023 by developing indigenous technologies and industries to reduce import dependency and boost the economy. Additionally, the government is investing heavily in border infrastructure to enhance connectivity and mobility for the armed forces.
The Ministry of Defence reported 2023 as a significant year for India's defence efforts as well, aiming to achieve 'Aatmanirbharta' and modernize the Armed Forces, leading to record exports and high production.
The report also stated that in 2023, the Defence Acquisition Council approved proposals worth over Rs 3.50 lakh crore to improve Armed Forces operational preparedness. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh dedicated 118 infrastructure projects, under the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) including 20 tunnels, 3,179m bridges, and the Amarnath Yatra Tracks upgradation, with 10 under construction and 10 planning.
Several Women officers have been deployed to the world's highest battlefield, Siachen in 2023 namely, Captain Shiva Chauhan, the first woman officer posted to Kumar Post, Siachen Glacier. Captain Geetika Koul and Fatima Wasim also became the first women medical officers at the Siachen Glacier.
The Indian Army is actively promoting gender neutrality, with 10 women officers commissioned in 2023 at the Regiment of Artillery whereas 40,000 women officers under the Agnipath scheme have completed their training and are posted to their respective units.
