Ministry of Civil Aviation awards Aviation Scholarship to 4 Female Students

Four students from Rama Devi Women's Junior College in Bhubaneswar were awarded scholarships to pursue foundational aviation courses during the Women in Aviation India Awards 2024 held at Aerocity, New Delhi. The scholarship recipients - Puspanjali Gouda, Ankita Priyadarshinee Swain, Devaswinee Jena, and Ananya Jyoti Routray - won the scholarships through an essay competition on the theme "Empowering Dreams to Soar".

The event was hosted by the Ministry of Civil Aviation with the theme "Giving Wings to Dreams" which showcased the achievements of prominent women in aviation and inspired future generations. Scholarships were presented to the young women to explore aviation careers and support their educational journey.

The groundbreaking initiative was praised by the Principal of Rama Devi Junior College, Ms. Saroj Laxmi Singh who highlighted the power of education in enabling young women to achieve their goals. She mentioned, "This recognition not only motivates our students but also reinforces the power of education in enabling young women to dream big and achieve their goals."

Radha Bhatia, President of Women in Aviation India, highlighted the opportunities for women in aviation. The event also highlighted India's commitment to inclusive growth, women's role in shaping the sector, and the innovative initiatives of Odisha and other Indian aviation luminaries.
