Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced that the company will be introducing its "Code Without Barriers" initiative to India. By 2024, Microsoft aims to train and certify 75,000 women developers in India through this program. The goal of this project is to make tech skills more accessible to women in the country. At the Microsoft AI Tour, Mr. Satya addressed 1,100 developers and IT executives. He emphasized the contribution Indian developers are making to the worldwide acceleration of AI innovation.

In order to address the gender gap in the rapidly expanding cloud, artificial intelligence, and digital technology industries in nine Asia Pacific (APAC) countries, the 'Code Without Barriers' program was introduced in 2021. For women working in technical areas, including developers and coders, it offers networking opportunities, training, and support. The initiative seeks to showcase the social diversity in the field and promote innovation.

The CEO further mentioned about Siksha Copilot, a program created in collaboration with Microsoft Research India and the Shikshana Foundation that enables teachers to improve student learning outcomes by creating customized lesson plans. He stressed the importance of teachers in motivating students and the usefulness of technological tools like Shiksha Copilot. In the tech business, this expansion is a big step toward gender equality and inclusive economic growth.
