Manish Narwal and Rubina Francis Win Gold for India at Para Shooting World Cup

Indian shooters kept up their winning streak at the World Shooting Para Sport World Cup being held in Munich, as the pair of Manish Narwal and Rubina Francis won gold in the P6 – 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event. NishaKanwaralso bagging a bronze medal in women’s 10m Air Pistol event. Pistol shooters Rubina and Manish defeated Mousa Ali and Sarah Al-Shabbani of Iraq in the final of the mixed team event. Manish Narwal’s final tally was 90.3 while Rubina shot 82.7.
Narwal and Francis shot 552 with seven hits in the qualification round. Nisha finished third in the P2-Women's 10m Air Rifle SH1 event. Meanwhile Narwal missed a medal by a sliver in the P1-Men's 10m Air Pistol SH1 event, held on Sunday.
Nisha Kanwar, Sumedha Pathak, and Rubina Francis made it to the finals of the women’s 10m Air Rifle eventbut it was only Nisha who managed to win a medal.
In the finals Rubina was first eliminated for the series with a score of 108.0. Next, Sumedha got eliminated upon ending with a score of 128.5. Nisha Kanwar showcased great shooting, but was eliminated in the sixth series as she scored 16.5 to win the bronze medal with a total of 206.3. Gaelle Edon (229.2) of France and Krisztina David of Hungary (230.0) consequently won the gold medal.
