Maharashtra's Deputy CM Ajit Pawar announce 3 LPG Cylinders per Year for Women

Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar announced a scheme to provide three LPG cylinders per year to women and girls with annual incomes under Rs 2.5 lakhs. The initiative aims to provide clean cooking fuel, promote health and environmental benefits, and improve the conditions of economically weaker sections. Deputy CM Pawar announced the scheme in his legislative constituency Baramati addressing a public rally, as a part of the government's efforts to uplift underprivileged sections.
Deputy CM Pawar in Baramati announced the Ladli Bahan Yojana is providing Rs 46,000 crores to women whereas Rs 65,000 crores per annum under various schemes in the state for women, mothers, and daughters. The scheme aims to empower women and promote self-reliance. CM urged the public to elect the Mahayuti government in the upcoming Assembly elections and not trust any other party for false assurances. The scheme aims to ensure continued funding for women and self-reliance.
He further announced the 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin' scheme, providing Rs 1500 per month to women aged 21 to 60. Inspired by Madhya Pradesh's Ladli Behna Yojana, the scheme will be implemented from July 2024. The deadline for application has been extended to August 31st, and women up to 65 years old can apply instead of those aged 60.
The scheme is implemented to provide LPG cylinders to women and girls from low-income families. The initiative aims to reduce reliance on traditional fuels, reduce environmental impact, and promote economic empowerment. The government will collaborate with local agencies to identify eligible beneficiaries and ensure efficient distribution.
